Yes, you read that right — a Diaper Party! The SMASH family is growing, and we’re welcoming twins soon! What better way to celebrate than by having a blast on the courts and helping the parents-to-be stock up on diapers?

Kick off the New Year with fun, friends, laughter, and plenty of pickleball! This mixed doubles tournament is all about good vibes, friendly competition, and sharing the love.

Date: Thursday, January 1st

Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (approx.)

Division: Mixed Doubles

Guaranteed 5 games of mixed doubles action

Entry Fee: One box of diapers + $10

Register as a mixed doubles team or solo (we’ll do our best to pair individual players)

Tournament Format

Pool Play – Round Robin

Each team will play 3 games against every team in their pool.
Based on results, teams advance to one of two playoff tiers:

Tier 1: Top 2 teams from each pool
Tier 2: Bottom 2 teams from each pool

Tier placement is determined by:

Win/Loss Record
Point Differential (PF–PA)
Total Points Scored

Bracket Play – Double Knockout

After Pool Play, teams enter their respective bracket:

Tier 1
Tier 2

Both tiers follow a double knockout format:

First loss: Team moves to the Loser’s Bracket

Second loss: Team is eliminated

Tier Finals: Winner of the Winner’s Bracket vs. Winner of the Loser’s Bracket
